The Wilderness

We camped out in the backyard. We had originally planned to campout at an actual campsite, but it turned out that the backyard was a much better idea, since we would have been without things like lighter fluid, and a roof.

Little Nora in the great outdoors.

Little Becky roasting marshmellows over an open flame.

Four girls enjoying nature's bounty. Sort of.
The two older girls actually slept really well in the tent. We eventually moved everyone inside on account of the thunder and lightning.

ahhh...nothing like "roughing it" and getting back to the wild...

oh, I got your message Jon. I'll give you a call sometime soon. We are in MO now but things are crazy with all the "putting things away" and stuff.

Okay, you have the most beautiful children in the world -- along with all my other beautiful grandchildren, of course. How did this happen? I believe in genetics -- but apparently none of my genes were passed along, because I was never as pretty a child as any of my 10 grandchildren. Weird.
